Ethics, Innovation, & the Future of Food

  • WLH Room 208 100 Wall St. New Haven, CT (map)

From alternative proteins to vertical farming and aquaponics, technological innovations have often been heralded as the future of food. But how should we distinguish between hype and reality? Where should ethics inform why and how we innovate?

Join us as we host Max Elder, Research Director at the Institute for the Future's Food Futures Lab, who will discuss futures thinking and how a broad range of domains—synthetic biology, engaged eaters, and new communication technologies—may affect how we understand our role in changing food systems.

This event is free and open to the public. It is co-sponsored by the Yale Sustainable Food Program, Center for Business and the Environment, and Tsai Center for Innovative Thinking.
