In this event, Yale Divinity School's Dr. Willie Jennings will be in conversation with CITY Innovation fellow Baljeet Sandhu, a trailblazing human rights lawyer, to discuss how she confronted immigration injustices, contended human rights violations, and engaged the lived experiences of community members to effect political transformation.
The Faith-Based Social Innovation and Civic Engagement Series will serve as a platform to hold dialogue between leading social innovator and emerging innovators amongst Yale's graduate and undergraduate population — giving Divinity students, and the broader Yale community, access to the breadth and depth of resources Tsai CITY offers to equip students for becoming both present and future change agents.
This series is produced by Divinnovation, the YDS Office of Student Affairs, and Tsai CITY. Divinnovation (divinity + innovation) is a student-run organization, emerging from Yale Divinity School, partnering with Tsai CITY to cultivate an environment for launching innovative ideas or projects oriented toward social impact. Divinnovation is open to all members of the broader Yale community.
