Feeling tired from midterms? Whether the midterm elections or your class midterms have you down, stop by a study break at Bass Cafe to refuel and hear about the Critical Innovation Fund.
La Casa, the Center for Latin American and Iberian Studies, and Tsai CITY have partnered to launch this fund, which will provide five $1,500 awards for teams with the strongest proposals for innovative approaches to pressing immigration challenges in America. Teams can apply with any idea — an event, a movement, an educational campaign, a technological innovation, a storytelling project, a work of art — that addresses current immigration challenges. We welcome interdisciplinary teams from across Yale and New Haven; teams must include at least one current Yale student. Preference will be given to teams who have lived experience with the challenge they choose to address, and teams who are focusing on local and New Haven-based issues.
At this study break, we will be available to answer any questions or run through potential ideas. Hope to see you there!
Ready to submit your idea? Apply here by 11:59pm on November 15.
