What kind of futures do we see for ourselves, our society, and our communities? How do we use innovation to create better human futures? In this 90-minute gathering, Mark Gonzales — futurist, author, visiting Stanford professor, and CEO of the Institute of Narrative Growth — will show us how we can use design thinking to prototype human futures and create spaces for human development and innovation to converge. Drawing on his work with Embrace LA (a groundbreaking citywide conversation on race and racism), Storytelling Somalia (empowering creatives to disrupt patterns of violence through telling better stories), and the most successful creative change campaign in Kickstarter history, Mark will examine how to design for long-term social impact.
